Welcome to Food2u Catering Hobart, Tasmania's website ("the Site"). Please read the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Site and our services. By accessing and using the Site or ordering our catering services through all other methods, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

Services

Food2u Catering Hobart, Tasmania ("the Company", "We", "Us", "Our") offers a range of catering services that include, but are not limited to, the provision of food and beverages, staff, and specialized catering equipment for various events ("Services").

Deposits and Payment

  1. We require a deposit of 50% of the total estimated bill to secure the date and Services for certain orders. A deposit is non-refundable unless within penalty-free cancellation period.

  2. The balance must be paid in full 3 days before the event date, where we do provide credit accounts upon application.

  3. Payments can be made via Bank Trasnfer or Credit Cards.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Penalty-free cancellation is allowed 14 days prior to the event date unless otherwise stated.

  2. Cancellations made between 3 to 14 days prior to the event date will result in a 50% cancellation fee for any amount paid.

  3. Cancellations made 3 days or less before the event date will require payment in full.

Changes to the Event

Any changes to the event details, including date, location, or number of guests, must be communicated to us at least 3 days before the event. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.

Our Rights

1. Menu Substitutions

  • Food2U reserves the right to substitute items of equal or greater value if specific products are unavailable. While every effort will be made to notify customers in advance, substitutions may occasionally be made at the discretion of our kitchen to ensure timely fulfilment.

2. Serving Conditions

  • Some items (e.g. sliders, sandwiches, salads) are designed to be served cold unless otherwise stated. Heating instructions may be provided on request, however reheating or toasting certain items may affect presentation and quality.

3. Complaints & Refunds

  • All complaints must be lodged within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. Food2U will assess each case individually. We accept claims regarding missing order or food quality issue, not personal preference. Refunds, partial refunds or credits are provided at Food2U’s discretion only and are capped at the value of the disputed item(s), not the entire order.

4. Surcharges

  • Weekend and public holiday surcharges apply (15% Saturdays, 20% Sundays, public holidays as specified). 

5. Customer Expectations

  • While every effort is made to deliver food of the highest quality, Food2U cannot guarantee individual customer taste preferences will always be met. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that a full refund is not claimable for such reasons.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Food2U’s liability is limited to the cost of the food supplied. We cannot accept responsibility for dissatisfaction due to individual taste preferences, external factors (e.g. event conditions, storage, or reheating after delivery), or outcomes beyond our direct control.

7. Refusal of Service

  • Food2U reserves the right to refuse future service to customers who are abusive, threatening, or engage in unreasonable demands.

Limitation of Liability

The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages, and the total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for Services.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any claim or demand, including legal fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your use of our Services.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tasmania.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and your use of the Services after such changes have been posted shall constitute your agreement to the modified Terms.

Price is not final for all online orders. Min order $100 applies. Delivery charges applies.

Additional special dietary available on request with extra charges.

15% surcharge for Saturdays, 20% surcharge for Sundays and public holidays.
